Ever been interested in getting involved or supporting the Home of Grace? Well, coming up very soon are two very easy and fun ways to do just that. Saturday, June 8, two very big annual events are planned, both to benefit the Home of Grace in big ways!
Beginning at 8AM in Pascagoula at Beach Park on Beach Boulevard is Chevron’s annual charity 5K and 1 mile run/walk, hosted by Gulf Coast Running Club. This event’s proceeds go to the Women’s Home exclusively. Getting involved with this one is easy. Just register to run or walk in either the 5K or the 1 mile with this sign-up form. Cost is $13, and includes a race t-shirt and food and drink at the races’ conclusion. What a great way to promote healthy living and support a great cause at the same time!
On the same day is the Home of Grace’s annual Golf Classic at the Preserve Golf Club in Vancleave. This is an event that many look forward to each year. Ways that you can get involved here are by registering online either as a single player , a team, or even a sponsor. All registrants will receive entry into the tournament, a delicious lunch by LeBlanc’s, a polo golf shirt, and much more. You may choose to participate in the morning round at 8AM or afternoon round at 1:30PM.
Please also know that whether or not you can participate in these types of activities, your presence at these events is a huge support as well. So please mark June 8th on your calendars, and plan to join us at one or even both of these events on this big day. Let’s promote addiction recovery one step (or swing) at a time.
Recently, we were fortunate to have the very talented Red Roots represent the Home of Grace on the Jeff Foxworthy hosted game-show “American Bible Challenge.” Playing for charity, the red-head triplets used their Bible knowledge to win $5,000 to donate to the Home of Grace. On top of their already huge winnings, they now have an opportunity to bring another $10,000 to the addiction recovery program, and they need YOUR help!
The American Bible Challenge is allowing fans to vote for their favorite contestants. The winning team awards $10,000 to the charity of choice. Fans can vote every day until May 19th. You can win a FREE T-SHIRT and show your support by signing up to receive a daily link to the voting page. Don’t worry you can opt-out at any time. Every Easter morning, before the sun rises, people gather at the men’s campus next to the lake. An Easter tradition since the early years of the Home of Grace, the sunrise service is always a beautiful time of worship. Clients, alumni, staff and supporters gather together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We were blessed to have so many people come out to worship with us this Easter. If you were not able to be with us this year, we do hope that you can make this time a part of your Easter next year.Read More
